Model Car Raceway

Opening in 1965, the Model Car Raceway was popular with many local kids. George Whitney Jr and brother-in-law Floyd Gilman came up with the idea of starting the raceway. Numberous track layouts along with a retail car and parts shop kept interest high for about 4 years. By 1969, the model car frenzy died out enough that attendence dropped... it closed soon after.
